HOME PAGE | GIFT GALLERY | ORDER FORM Founded in 1974, Bird in Hand Iron Works is a unique gift shop that specializes in metal items for the home and garden. Located along Route 340, midway between the villages of Bird in Hand and Intercourse, we are in the heart of the PA Dutch and Amish Country. Our inventory includes thousands of items from over 200 vendors - some are small-time blacksmiths and welders; other are large foundries and metalworks. Our products are made of cast iron, wrought iron, tin, pewter and cast aluminum. We are proud of the quality and variety of our merchandise. Unlike other stores that may have a "smattering" of metal items, we are unique because we have nearly 1800 square feet of ALL METAL and related items.
Our variety is outstanding. Stepping into the store, our customers are astounded to discover the wide range of merchandise. We carry countless hooks and brackets, assorted iron lamps and shades, a distinctive collection of chandeliers and candelabras, a wide variety of towel bars and bootscrapers, several styles of slate holders and shelf brackets, numerous plant poles and flag holders, many sconces and candle stands. Hundreds of seasonal items are introduced each year to decorate your home and garden. Our selection is unique. Always searching for something different and unique, we specialize in hard-to-find items like horseheads and chimney letters, eagles and plate holders, tavern puzzles and quilt stands, hose holders and bells, basket trees and sundials, curtain rods and swag holders, switch plate covers and hinges, stocking holders and weathervanes - over 60 different choices available in stock and another 60 ready to order.
HOURS: Monday through Saturday CLOSED: Sundays plus Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Our
quality is excellent. We are careful with the merchandise we select
for the store. Only the finest quality will do. Nearly all of our inventory
is American made. You'll find hand-forged, one of a kind items. Over 25%
of the inventory is made by local craftsmen - many of whom are Amish.
We
welcome your inquiries and visits. Our inventory is kept current and our
prices are reasonable. Shipping is available for most items. Our friendly,
knowledgeable staff is just waiting to serve you.
